At home hair color as good as you get at a salon, only cheaper!!! eSalon Personalized Haircolor!!!

How many of us have home hair color horror stories??  And i'm not just talking about Sun-In from the 80s (that turned my hair orange).
If the 80s or boxed hair color has left you afraid to do your own hair color at home, be scared no more!!!  I have a product for you to try, eSalon personalized hair color.

As a BzzAgent I was invited to a campaign to try out this product for free and bzz about what I thought about it.  Needless to say, I was very hesitant to put a new permanent hair color on my own hair, I have been going to the same hair dresser for the last 8 years and she's the only one that has put any type of hair color (covering my gray roots) on my hair since I started going to her.

Let me tell you about my experience....

You go to the eSalon website and create an account.  You will answer a series of question about your hair, including the narrowing down the (closest) color of your hair by picking from virtual swatches.  Then you can upload photos so the colorist can "see" your hair color.  Once that is done, the colorist reviews your answers and then creates your personal color.

I like to stick with my natural hair color and only cover the roots, those darn grays).  To say I was a little hesitant is an understatement, but what the heck, I can always go get it "fixed" if I didn't like it.

So off to the bathroom I go with my tools; my CUSTOM hair color, gloves, stain guard (thank goodness they include this or half my face and ears would be brown), bowl, application brush, digital timer, supplied shampoo and conditioner, and stain remover (which I didn't need thanks to the stain guard).  I found using an application brush was easier and less messy than I remember application bottles.  So, I applied the color to my roots in sections and left it on for 30 minutes.

Once my time was up I decided to rinse the color out in the shower, as suggested.  I do find that way easier (and less messy) than trying to get it all out in a sink.

And finally hair is dry and what can I say....I was pleasantly surprised!!  The color was spot on and blended with the rest of my hair perfectly.  For anyone that is afraid to use a store bought box color but doesn't want to spend the money at a salon, this product is for you!
